Tide Alum Accuses UF Player Of Attack

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – The Alabama Crimson Tide easily defeated the Florida Gators last Saturday; but a former Tide player is now saying he took a beating outside the stadium after the game.

Former Bama player Reggie Myles filed a complaint with the University of Florida police department saying that he was attacked by Gators defensive lineman Dominique Easley.

UF Police have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, but haven't positively identified the attacker as being Easley, the Gainesville Sun reported.

Myles claimed that he was tackled from behind and the attack allegedly carried out by Easley was unprovoked. Myles said he learned who his attacker was from Easley's parents who were allegedly at the scene, according to the Sun.

Myles was also arrested at the scene, but he claimed that it's his understanding that his charges will be dropped. Myles also said that two eye witnesses would be providing statements to University police, according to the Sun.

UF Police haven't addressed when the investigation will be completed.
