Fins Looking At Garrard And Delhomme

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – When quarterback Chad Henne went down with an injured shoulder last Sunday, it was assumed Matt Moore would simply step in and become the new starting quarterback.

But, it's always rough when you assume anything in the NFL.

According to NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora, the Miami Dolphins have had contract discussions with free agent quarterbacks David Garrard and Jake Delhomme. But, neither player could come to an agreement with either quarterback.

The news comes as the Fins await news on Henne's separated shoulder. Henne's injury happened during the first half of last Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Henne has gone for a second opinion on his shoulder. The team is worried that Henne's shoulder injury may cost him the rest season, according to NFL.com.
