UM Prof. Arrested; Claims He Is “Just A Horny Guy”

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – University of Miami law professor Donald M. Jones has found himself on the wrong side of the law.

According to Miami Police, Jones, 51, allegedly pulled up in a Mercedes and “engaged in a brief conversation with a woman he thought was a prostitute. The “prostitute,” was actually an undercover police officer.

Miami Police said Jones offered to pay $20 for oral sex. The undercover officer then signaled to fellow officers and Jones was arrested.

When detectives approached Jones, he allegedly said that “he is just a horny guy.”

Jones was charged with one count of soliciting a prostitute.

The school released the following statement late Friday afternoon:

“The University of Miami is aware of the situation concerning UM School of Law Professor Donald M. Jones. It should be noted that Professor Jones has never been convicted of any previous crime. It is our policy not to comment on personnel matters and will be unable to issue any further statement at this time.”

Some Law professor, are you sure you want him teaching your children about the law. What ever happen to our teachers, law enforcement, mayors, infact those in positions of authority, being the examples of what we should do, now they wonder why crime is so high, when they them selves are committing crimes. I think we should go back to the old west, everyone has their own gun shoot and ask questions later, it’s my property stay off.

He was probably doing research for a class lecture on the outrageous price of oral sex in Miami compared to other cities in the U.S..and what we can do to combat it

Since he is a minority, the university will make up excuses and protect him. Thats diversity!

Concerned Citizen, he isn’t teaching children, he’s teaching adult law students. Big difference. I doubt any of his students are gonna think to themselves “oh wow, $20 bj’s downtown?? I’m in!!” Not that the principle behind your comment isn’t well-taken, but you’re fighting the good fight in the wrong place.

joeamerican, it won’t be because he’s a minority, it’ll be because he’s a *tenured professor*. Look it up if you need to.. but yea, get an education and stop complaining about “reverse racism” and how “easy” minorities have it in America – honestly, you sound silly. The fact that you even see this man as a black man first and not just a man is EXACTLY the reason why we still need to push for racial equality and progress in this country.
