Miami Man Killed, 2nd Man Critical After Shooting

MIAMI (CBS4) – Gun fire erupted on a Miami street Sunday afternoon and when the smoke cleared one man was dead, a second was critically wounded.

According to police, the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. in the area of NW 10th Avenue and 55th Street. When police arrived they found the two men in a silver Nissan Altima with multiple gunshot wounds.

"I seen a black male with little dreads crawling out of the car saying 'help me, help me'," said the woman who called 911 to report the shooting.

Both of the wounded men were taken Ryder Trauma Center where one of the men died as a result of his injuries.

The suspected shooters drove off in an older model, black four door, Buick with dark tints. Investigators said the vehicle will have damage to the rear right passenger side.

Police do not suspect it was a road rage incident and believe the shooters and the two men shot 'had words' before the shooting.

A black Buick was recovered in the area of NW 7th Avenue and 58th Street.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Miami Police Department's Homicide Unit at (305) 603- 6350 or Miami Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471- 8477 (TIPS).
