Miami Gas Station Robbery Caught On Tape

MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami police have released the surveillance tape of a gas station robbery which happened a little more than two months ago in hopes that someone recognizes the robbers and gives them a call.

On July 10th, three males walked into the Citgo Gas station in the 7700 block of Biscayne Boulevard and one asked if the clerk if they carried Pampers diapers. When the clerk told him no, the man pulled out an automatic weapon and ordered the clerk to open the cash register.

On the tape you can see one of the robbers jump over the counter and demand that the clerk open the register as the third robber pulled out another gun. After the clerk then opened the register, the second robber grabbed the cash then all three then ran out of the gas station.

Police estimate that all three of the robbers were between 17 and 22 years old and were between five and half to six feet tall.

Anyone who recognizes them is asked to call the police department's Robbery Unit at (305) 603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
