Pembroke Pines Man Accused Of Having Child Porn
PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) – A Pembroke Pines man charged with 30 counts of possessing and distributing child pornography made his first appearance Wednesday morning in bond court.
During the proceeding, bond was set at $300,000 for 24-year old Christian Martinet.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, someone on a file sharing network site offered to share child pornography images and videos between the middle of July up until the beginning of September. A sheriff's investigator with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children task force traced the person's internet address to Martinet.
On Tuesday, they served a search warrant on Martinet at his home. According to the arrest affidavit, Martinet admitted to deputies that he downloaded the child pornography onto his laptop.
A forensic search of the laptop's hard drive found 12 videos and 18 images of children, some under the age of 13 years old, engaged in sexual acts.
