Woman Struck, Killed By Miami-Dade Transit Bus
MIAMI (CBS4)- A woman is dead after she walked into the path of a Miami-Dade transit bus, authorities said.
The incident happened Friday morning in downtown Miami at on southwest 1st Avenue and west Flagler Street.
The bus driver, Bradly Vaughn, was making a right turn onto West Flagler from West 1st Avenue when the woman tried to get his attention.
She stepped off the curb, was stuck by the side of the bus and was knocked down. The woman was then run over by the rear tires, police said.
Police are investigating and have not released the identity of the victim.
