Eliott Rodriguez Joins CSI Miami Cast For Season Premiere

MIAMI (CBS4) -- When "CSI Miami" kicks off its tenth anniversary season on Sunday, Sept. 25, South Florida television viewers will see a familiar face among the cast. CBS4 News anchor Eliott Rodriguez plays (what else?) a television anchor on the show.

Eliott reports the news during the episode as Miami Police Crime Lab Lt. Horatio Caine and DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista find themselves facing what appears to be certain death. Meanwhile, it's a race against time for the team to capture escaped killer Jack Toller before he kills again, The search for Toller takes place in Downtown Miami.

"CSI Miami is one of my favorite shows, so this was a real treat," Eliott said. "Reporting breaking news was like another day at the office. After all, Miami is a pretty busy news town."

As always, the plot offers a scintillating series of twists and turns, certain to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Fortunately, they can be assured that Eliott Rodriguez, being the exceptional journalist that he is, will keep audiences informed every step of the way.

And with that in mind, could an acting Emmy be in Eliott's future? Hmmm.

Eliott is the recipient of two local Emmys and four Edward R. Murrow Awards. He has also been named "Best Anchor" by Miami New Times, and one of "South Florida's Best Dressed Men" by Ocean Drive Magazine.

Eliott anchors CBS4 News at 5 and 11 with Shannon Hori. He is also the host of News & Views with Eliott Rodriguez, a news interview program that airs Saturdays at 10 a.m.
