5 Sisters Face Charges After Oakland Park Bus Brawl

OAKLAND PARK (CBS4)-- Five sisters are facing criminal charges after a brawl aboard a school bus in South Florida.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the fight began Wednesday when Cynthia Haynes' 11-year old sister got into a fight at a school bus stop with another student of William Dandy Middle School. The upset girl ran home and told family members what had happened.

Police said the Haynes, her little sister and three other family members tracked down the bus and stopped it. That's when Haynes allegedly stormed onto it and began hitting two of the students, ages 11 and 14 years old.

Broward Sheriff's deputies arrested Haynes, her sister and the other three adults.

Surveillance video released Thursday shows a group of women struggle past the bus driver trying to hold them back. Fighting is seen in the back of the bus.

The 11-year-old and two juvenile sisters face charges, along with an 18-year-old sister and a 23-year-old sister.
