Police: Man Charged In Prostitute's Murder

MIAMI (CBS4) – A West Kendall man has been charged with murder in the death of a prostitute.

According to Miami-Dade police, Saturday morning 31-year old Andrew Gibbs picked up a prostitute and drove him back to his resident in the 13700 block of SW 149th Circle. Once there the two reportedly argued over money. As the fight intensified, police said Gibbs grabbed a rifle, equipped with a silencer, and shot and killed the other man.

After the shooting, Gibbs reportedly fled but was picked later in the day in northwest Miami-Dade.

Gibbs, who has been charged with 2nd degree murder, is being held without bond.  Additional charges are pending.
