Lauderdale Spa Chic Month Kicks Off With Relaxing Deals
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4)- It always feels good to be pampered and now is the best time to take a moment - or an hour, or a day - for yourself. That's because Lauderdale Spa Chic month is officially underway.
Lauderdale Spa Chic, equivalent to Spa Month in Miami, features one month of specialized treatments from September 1 to the 30th with participating spas offering services for $99 dollars or less.
Greater Fort Lauderdale's resort spas offers those looking for relaxation to indulge in luxury for less. Participants can get a Spa Chic treatment, including aromatherapy massage, facial, loofah scrub and reflexology, all for just $99. That's up to a 50% savings.
Participating spas include the Atlantic Resort & Spa, The Grand Resort & Spa, The W Fort Lauderdale and Lago Mar Resort & Club, to name a few.
"With every one going back to school we thought everyone needed a break and we wanted to make it affordable for everyone in the local community," Kimberly DeOrsey from Atlantic Resort and Spa said.
The Atlantic Resort & Spa offers their massage chic package, which includes a 50 minute Swedish massage, a choice of shampoo and style or hair cut and a manicure, for $99. There's also a facial package and a head-to-toe package.
As part of the Massage Chic package you also get a manicure, hair cut and blow dry so when you're done getting pampered you'll be ready to hit the town.
The Atlantic Spa also has a couples package, where you and your sweet heart can play and get pampered.
"It's a soaking tub and the couple will paint each other with the algae and salts and have some fun and that's followed by a couples massage," DeOrsey said.
Spa Chic is a way for all the spas to show off their properties to locals and out of towners.
"I think a lot of times people are intimidated by the spa and we want to reach out and touch the community and we want them to come back and use us as a loyal customer."
