Car Split In Half In Wreck, 1 Hospitalized

WEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) – One woman was hospitalized early Thursday morning after she lost control of her car and hit a pole which split the vehicle in half.

According to Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Nelvys Hernandez, the driver lost control of her car on the Florida Turnpike exit ramp to NW 41st Street in West Miami-Dade.

Video from Chopper 4 shows her car completely split in two.

The driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition with minor injuries according to FHP.

To avoid any possible roadblocks, commuters can take 107th Avenue as an alternate route.
