Flood Grant Program Provides Financial Help For Homeowners
MIAMI (CBS4) -- If your budget is being hit hard by flood insurance premiums there may be relief in sight. The State of Florida is rolling out a grant program that will give homeowners thousands of dollars to mitigate flooding.
The money can be used to build berms, retention ponds, or even elevate your house.
If you're interested in applying, there will be an information session Wednesday, August 17th.
It's being held at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Auditorium, located at 9300 NW 41st Street, in Doral from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
