MIAMI (CBS4)- Parents and students have been waiting for Florida’s tax-free holiday weekend, and the shopping begins Friday.

Consumers save big bucks during this year’s Back To School Sales Tax Holiday courtesy of the state, but it’s also a frugalista’s delight to combine sales and coupons in addition to their tax free shopping.  The tax holiday will be in effect throughout all of Florida from 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 12th until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 14th. The sales tax holiday will include clothes and shoes up to $75 and school supplies valued at $15 or less and exempt the state’s 6 percent sales tax.

The Florida Department of Revenue created a list of taxable and tax-exempt items. View the full list by clicking here.
