Crash Leaves School Bus Dangling In Ft. Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) -- There were some scary moments Friday morning for the driver of a school bus involved in a crash which ended with the backend of the bus hanging off an overpass.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky, a private school bus was traveling southbound on I-95 to the I-595 interchange when somehow, the driver lost control, hit a lamp pole, and was then hit by a tractor trailer. The bus came to a stop with the backend dangling from the overpass.
Southbound drivers were delayed while approaching the I-595 interchange.
The driver suffered only minor injuries.
Sgt. Wysocky said there were no children on the bus.
