Ramirez Has MRI On Injured Shoulder
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez had an MRI on his injured shoulder Wednesday, and it was good news for Hanley and the Marlins.
Marlins manager Jack McKeon said that Ramirez will remain day-to-day, but will be in uniform when the Fish take on the St. Louis Cardinals in a four-game series starting Thursday night.
"The trainer didn't think it was that serious," McKeon told MLB.com. "His initial thinking was maybe a day or two. That's why they sent him back for the MRI. Just to make sure it was nothing."
Ramirez was starting to struggle a bit before the injury, and McKeon said a few days off might be good for the shortstop.
