MIAMI ( – The ongoing battle between Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and the Miami Police Department escalated late Tuesday when Regalado wrote to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder asking for a federal investigation of nine police-involved shootings.

Mayor Regalado wants the Department of Justice to review the policies and practices of the Miami Police Department.

Regalado cited growing concerns from the community that the police have not responded adequately to calls for an investigation into the shootings.

In his letter, Regalado said he wants an objective external investigation to get to the bottom of the nine police-involved shootings that have occurred since April 2010. Seven of those shootings have resulted in deaths.

I’m glad regalado is doing that, our main problem in this corrupted system we have are the corrupt police officer from Dade county, we have delinquent working as police officers.. Those 9 low life corrupted people deserve to go to jail for murder n to think the system would give you the death sentence if you kill a police officer but if they kill u they get to walk away. Where justice, is a business they got with us..
