No Charges Filed in Brandon Marshall Domestic Dispute

The Broward State Attorney's Office announced Friday they would not file charges against the wife of Miami Dolphins wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, in an apparent domestic dispute between the couple at their Southwest Ranches home.

Domestic violence prosecutors say they were given "conflicting evidence" by the pair and that tied their hands.

Marshall's wife -- Michi Nogami-Marshall -- was arrested for stabbing her husband in the stomach with a knife. She told police she acted in "self-defense" but refused to elaborate.

She was arrested for one count of aggravated battery.

Brandon Marshall told investigators he slipped and fell on a broken vase and cut himself but there was no blood on the vase or the area surrounding it, so investigators arrested Nogami-Marshall.

Brandon Marshall maintained that his wife was not responsible for his injuries. Without his testimony, prosecutors said, there was no way to move forward with a felony case.
