Brandon Marshall's Wife Not Facing Charges

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Brandon Marshall was back on the field Friday for the first time in months and he received good news regarding his wife's legal problems Friday evening.

The Broward State Attorney's Office declined to file one count of aggravated battery and one count of violation of pre-trial conditions against Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall. The case surrounded a stabbing incident at Marshall's home in April.

Nogami-Marshall told police she acted in self-defense after a domestic situation ended up with Brandon Marshall getting stabbed in the abdomen.

Brandon Marshall was treated and released from the Broward General Medical Center, but he told prosecutors he slipped and fell onto broken glass from a vase. Police said there was no blood on the broken glass, or the area surrounding it and charged Michi-Marshall.

But, the State Attorney's Office said the state was unable to file charges due to the conflicting stories from police and from Brandon Marshall.
