Fmr. Christian School Assist. Coach Pleads Guilty In Teen Sex Case

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – A former assistant track coach at Hollywood Christian Academy accused of having sex with a 15-year old has pleaded guilty in court to a reduced charge of child abuse.

In exchange for his change in plea David Tillman, 21, was sentenced to a year of community control and four years of probation.

In March, 2010, Tillman and his uncle Raymond Holmes, a former track coach at the school, were charged with having sex with underage girls.

According to Ft. Lauderdale police, the victims were picked up by Holmes and Tillman and told they were going to skip school.

Tillman reportedly told investigators that he and Holmes drove the girls around while doing some errands and then took them back to Tillman's house.  The 15-year-old victim said she had consensual sex with Tillman in the bedroom when the other girl left the home with Holmes.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old girl told police that Holmes picked her up from a local McDonald's and took her to his apartment. The girl said she and Holmes had sex before going back to Tillman's apartment. Holmes reportedly used a condom during the encounter on March 19.

But in another incident a month earlier, he reportedly did not use a condom. The 16-year-old said the sexual encounter where the pair had unsafe sex took place when the track team traveled to Orlando in February.
