Tropical Storm Cindy Breaks Apart Over Cold N. Atlantic

MIAMI (CBS4) - The third tropical storm of the season, Cindy, lost its tropical characteristics as it moved over the cold waters of the far North Atlantic.

Just before 11:00 p.m., the National Hurricane Center declared the storm had weakened dramatically, with dissipation expected Saturday.

According to the NHC, Cindy still has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and continues to move northeast at 33 miles per hour.

Cindy is not a threat to any land.
