Leading Ladies, High Flying Acts & Box Office Flicks Dominate Weekend Fun

MIAMI (CBS4)- It's an action-packed weekend in South Florida filled with death defying feats, performances by some of the leading ladies in music and movies to keep you entertained.

He's the first avenger, and actor Chris Evans is suiting up as Captain America and hitting the box office Friday. Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into the superhero. Captain America is rated PG-13.

Also opening this weekend is Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis' flick Friends with Benefits. In the film, the two soon discover how adding sex to their friendship does lead to complications. Friends with Benefits is rated R.

Get into the groove with Zo's Summer Groove. Alonzo Mourning's three-day charity event is heading to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino this weekend for a special performance by Grammy Award Winner Alicia Keys. Help benefit the Alonzo Mourning Charity and get serenaded by the R & B beauty Saturday night. General admission is $49 to $69.

Britney is back. Britney Spears teaming up with singer Nikki Minaj as part of her 11-city North American Femme Fatale Tour. She'll be hitting the stage at the American Airlines Arena Friday at 7 p.m. Want to get a glimpse of the pop princess? Tickets are still available.

And if you want to see high flying, death defying feats, head to Alegria at the Bank Atlantic Center this weekend.

Alegria, which means joy, by Cirque du Soleil will certainly make you happy. The dramatic circus act is landing in Sunrise July 20th through July 31st. The acts include trapeze artists, fire-knife dancers and acrobats. Tickets range from $39 to $100.
