CORAL SPRINGS (CBS4) – Coral Springs detectives are trying to determine the events that led to the death of a man whose body was found early Sunday morning.

Officers were sent to an apartment in the 9800 block of NW 33rd Street just after 1 a.m. after they received a call.  Inside they found the body of Michael Todd Hamilton.

“We have a 31-year old man who was found inside his residence, that’s suspicious,” said police spokesman Sgt. Dave Kirkland.

Crime scene investigators spent most of Sunday inside the apartment and looking for clues in the surrounding area.  Neighbors who live in the area say they are stunned.

“It’s a very quiet neighborhood, all the neighbors are good neighbors and everyone goes to church together,” said Barbara Maggiore

Investigators said they are waiting for the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
