Firefighter Treated For Dehydration After Apartment Fire
HOLLYWOOD (CBS4) - A Hollywood firefighter was taken to a hospital after helping battle a blaze in a second story apartment.
The call came in just after 5 a.m. that smoke was coming from a vacant unit at 2750 Pierce Street. Hollywood Fire Department spokesman Chief Mark Steele said firefighters had it out in about 10 minutes; it was confined to a bedroom.
A firefighter, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital, treated for dehydration and released.
Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire after firefighters said when they arrived the door to the unit was open when they arrived.
