Police Looking For Parents Of Abandoned Miami Boy

MIAMI (CBS4)- Police are looking for the family members of a young boy found in Miami Saturday.

According to police, they received an anonymous phone call Saturday morning and went to 642 NW 3rd Street and that's where the found the boy in an apartment with an intoxicated man. The man told police that he didn't know who they boy was but said that the boy was with his mother around 10 p.m. Friday.

Police also do not know who the child is but he tells them his name is Joshua.  Police said the boy looks to be between two to three-years-old.

The man told police that the boy's mother was drinking with people outside.

According to police, the man went inside his home at 6 a.m. and that's where he discovered the boy. The man said the boy's mother asked him to watch her child and that she would be back shortly but the mother never came back.

"Joshua" was taken to the Miami police department. DCF was also contacted and are investigating.
