Tylenol Issues New Recall

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – If you've picked up a bottle of Extra Strength Tylenol and noticed a musty or moldy odor, you're not alone. Johnson & Johnson, makers of Tylenol, issued a recall of nearly 61,000 bottles of the medication.

The odor is believed to be caused by trace amounts of a chemical compound known as 2,4,6-tribromoanisole. Scientists don't believe the chemical causes any serious health risks.

The recall impacts one lot (ABA619) of Tylenol made in February 2009 with the label "Tylenol Extra Strength Caplets, 225 count" and a UPC code of 300450444271.

If you believe you have a bottle, call 1-888-222-6036, or visit Tylenol.com.
