Police: Fake Cop Coerced Driver To Have Sex

HIALEAH (CBS4) -  A South Florida man is under arrest for allegedly posing as a police officer and coercing a woman he pulled over to have sex with him.

Luis Fumero, 21, is charged with impersonating a police officer. He is also charged with 3rd degree grand theft because the Mercedes he was driving when he allegedly pulled the woman over was stolen.

Police say after being pulled over on June 6, the woman agreed to follow Fumero to a Hialeah motel convinced he was an officer because he showed her his badge and gun. Police say the woman also complied because she was scared and driving with a suspended license.

Fumero allegedly told the woman that he would not book her if she agreed to have sex with him.

The woman contacted police after Fumero kept contacting her for several days after the incident.

Fumero is being held in the Miami-Dade County jail on no bond.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is urged to call Hialeah Police at (305)  687-2525 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS
