Crash On NB I-95 Snarled Morning Commute

Northbound lanes of I-95 were closed just north of Commercial Boulevard because of a crash.

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - The northbound lanes of I-95 in north Broward have re-opened to traffic following an accident involving a tractor trailer.

The accident happened just north of Commercial Boulevard around 5 a.m.

A tractor trailer jackknifed and rolled trying to avoid another vehicle; the big rig ended up on its side. A second vehicle was also damaged in the crash. All lanes of the highway were closed to closed to traffic which was forced to exit at Commercial Boulevard.

Tow trucks were able to right the truck and remove it from the highway.

By 7 a.m., all of the northbound lanes, except for the left far one, were re-opened to traffic.

Those aren’t tow trucks. They’re heavy wreckers. How do I know the difference? I’m certified to operate one, LIKE A BOSS. That red rig is a Westway unit. That truck probably jacked because the brakes on that container unit are most likely shot. Every one that I ever came in contact with had little or no brakes.
