Mormons Break Ground For New Temple In Davie

DAVIE (CBS4) – Gold painted shovels in hand, the Mormons broke ground for their new temple in Davie on Saturday.

The temple, which will be located on the northeast corner of I-75 and Griffin Road, is expected to be completed in two years and serve about 25 thousand followers.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temples differ from ordinary Mormon chapels. They are considered houses of God and are used for occasions like weddings and baptisms

This is only the second Mormon temple to be built in the state, the first is in Orlando.

Floirduh would appear to be the perfect place for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple. Now it would be easier to push their anti-gay hate agenda. Yup, seperation of church and state.Just wondering, now that this property is off the tax rolls, how much will your taxes increase to make up the difference. You don’t think for one minute that your local board won’t increase your property taxes to make up the difference do you? You actually help subsidize thier hate agenda through property tax increases.
