Crane Collapse In Medley Leaves 1 Injured
MEDLEY, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Construction workers in Medley were given a rough wake-up call Friday morning when one of the cranes at a concrete company collapsed.
The company, Coreslab Structures Inc., is located at 10501 NW 121 Way and makes precast concrete, prestressed concrete products and hollowcore slabs.
CBSMiami.com contacted the company and a person who answered the phone said the accident was minor and that all that was required was a few stitches to the injured person. The person at the company then hung up the phone saying "no comment."
However, video from Chopper 4 showed that one person was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital and had their neck in a brace and was immobilized on the stretcher as it headed into JMH.
The injured person has not been identified by the company, JMH, or Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
