It's In The Bag, Designer Style, At S. Florida Website

HALLANDALE BEACH  (CBS4) - You can buy anything on the web, it seems, but high style has always been the province of high-end brick-and-mortar stores, until now.

From Chanel to Prada, Louis Vuitton to Dior, if you have a designer in mind, a Broward website has a handbag for you, at a price that won't make your accountant faint.

Luxedesignerhandbags.com, based in a Hallandale Beach, is offering high end designer bags at 50 percent off the price you find in stores.

The company charges less because the bags are not new. They prefer the term gently used.

"We take very gently pre-loved bags, from people who keep their bags in dust bags, who don't put bags on floor," Sabina Jacobs, buyer and authenticator. "People who love their bags."

Authenticator? That's a person who makes sure the bags they sell are genuine, and not some faux fashion.

"We have a team of authenticators that are extremely skilled in secrets and trademarks for each brand- so you can rest assured that our bags are authentic," Sabina says."We have never sold a fake bag."

Each bag or wallet gets a certificate of authenticity inside every bag.

"You can look like the rich and famous without being rich and famous." Jacobs said.

If you're lucky enough to already own the real thing, Luxedh.Com buys bags as well as sells them.

"All you do is click on a link that says send us your bag, fill out the form and we give you a price. We get the bag authenticated and we send you a check," said Sabina.

The bags are photographed and then posted on the site.

The handbags range in price from $99.00 for a pint-sized Prada purse to $2400 for a luxurious Chanel Jumbo Flap that retails for over $6 thousand.

If that's still too pricey for you to just write a check, you can take up to 6 months to pay.

"We send you your bag," Sabina said, "so it's completely different than layaway."

Bonus: use the code "cbs4" at checkout for 10% off on the purchase of a bag.
