Goombay Fest, Speed Boats & Bikini Body Tour Dominate S. Fla. Weekend

MIAMI (CBS4)- From super boats to keeping your body in check, this weekend in South Florida has a lot to offer.

The X-Men are back X-Men First Class is debuting in theatres this weekend. The film takes moviegoers way back where they find out how Professor X, Magneto and all the other mutants got their start. X-MEN First Class is rated PG-13.

Time to get beach body ready, and Shape magazine is giving South Florida an opportunity to tighten their glutes and strengthen their core this weekend on Miami Beach.

The fitness magazines' Bikini Body Tour is coming to Lummus Park on Saturday.

They'll have classes from some of south Florida's best personal trainers, including zumba, tabata and yoga. All of the classes are $10.

Do you feel the need, the need for speed? This weekend you can watch the ultimate thrill, not in the air but in the water.

It's the 21st annual Miami Super Boat Grand Prix. The event takes place at Bicentennial Park. You can watch power boats fly through the water on Saturday and Sunday.

Whether you rock a mullet or a Mohawk, you'll love what's playing at the Adrienne Arsht Center this weekend. Hair! A revival of the 1967 rock musical, has all your favorite classic tunes and of course, plenty of hair whipping.

Get your Goombay on in the Grove. Thousands of people are expected to flock to the event, which celebrates Bahamian culture.
The Goombay Festival started Thursday and culminates with the big festival over the weekend from Grand Avenue to Douglas Road in the Grove.

The World's Largest "Stepping" Party starts from noon and ends at 8 pm both Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5, from 32nd Avenue to Douglas Road. This is the big event, the street party brings all the sights and sounds of the Bahamas to Coconut Grove. There's lots of live music, lots of delicious food and plenty of things to see and buy. Bring the family and party!

On Sunday, June 5, before that day's festival, there is a Gospel Service at Christ Episcopal Church at 3481 Hibiscus Street from 9 to 11 am.
