FLL Airport Now Accepts SunPass Plus Parking Payments

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – School is almost out for the summer and that means time for summer vacation. To help make your vacation travel a whole lot easier, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has just launched SunPass Plus.

SunPass Plus allows travelers who fly in and out of the airport to pay for their airport parking with their SunPass transponder.

When you leave the airport, all you have to do is use the dedicated SunPass toll lanes and the transponder does the rest.

Parking rates at FLL range from $7.50 a day for Airport Economy Parking to $15 a day for long-term garage parking. It is now available in all the Airport's parking garages and will be available in the Airport Economy Parking (remote lot) in late June 2011.

SunPass customers must elect the Easy Pay replenishment option to be eligible for SunPass Plus parking. Then look for the SunPass Plus logo when entering and exiting the Airport's parking garage.

If your e-mail address is registered with SunPass, an electronic parking receipt will be sent to you immediately. The parking charge will also appear on your account activity statement. The Easy Pay replenishment option can be selected at www.sunpass.com, or by calling customer service at 1-888-865-5352.

Miami International Airport also offers the SunPass Plus option to pay for your parking.

Other Florida airports that offer SunPass Plus include Palm Beach, Tampa and Orlando.
