Heat Road Rally Shuts Down Biscayne Blvd.

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) - If you're heading downtown Thursday night, get ready for some delays as police get the area ready for Thursday night's watch party of Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

With the Miami Heat just one victory away from the NBA Finals, the team has put together a road rally and watch party for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The White Hot Heat Road Rally will be outside the AmericanAirlines Arena and will feature a performance by Ludacris during the pre-game activities. The game will be broadcast on MiamiMediaMesh, the 3,400 square foot LED screen in front of the Arena.

"All the fans will be together, so it will be fun," said Heat fan Ana Guanzon. "I think they're gonna win it; they're gonna take it over."

"I am a tourist from Argentina, and I came to see the playoffs," said Heat fan Jorge Rigourd.

The Heat also will have the Heat Dancers, the Humana Golden Oldies, the Miami Heat Rhythm Section, Burnie, and The Xtreme Team in attendance for the party.

Biscayne Boulevard from NE 8th Street to 12th Street will be closed. Southbound traffic will be diverted to NE 2nd Avenue and Northbound traffic will be sent to NE 1st Avenue.
