(Source: Humane Society) A dog frpom the flood-ravages areas of Mississippi is brought into the Humane Socioety shelter in Broward County
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4)- Pets affected by the flood stricken area of Kennett, Missouri are up for adoption at The Humane Society of Broward County.
The animals, approximately 20 dogs and 16 cats, left a day earlier than expected and arrived at the Humane Society of Broward County on Saturday afternoon.
An animal transport company will have traveled over 1100 miles to bring the pets to the HSBC.
Due to the record breaking flood waters their families had no other option but to give up their pets in the hope that other families will give their pet a home.
South Floridians interested in adopting a pet are asked to visit the society at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale.
