Pembroke Pines Road Collapses After Water Main Break
PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) - A western Pembroke Pines intersection was temporarily closed to traffic after a water main burst.
Pembroke Pines police said the main break occurred before noon near the intersection of Sheridan Street and 184th Avenue. In addition to flooding the intersection, the force of the water caused a section of the road to collapse.
For several hours drivers were advised to avoid the area unless necessary. By4 p.m. police were able to open several lanes in all directions but delays were expected during evening and morning rush hours.
