MIAMI (CBS4) – A well-known hair colorist is reaping the benefits from decades in the business.

Rita Hazan is one of the most sought after colorists in the industry. After training with Oribe, Rita went out on her own 7 years ago and opened the Rita Hazan Salon in NYC where celebrities line up to get their color.

“We have special VIP room for the stars, but mostly, they like to sit with other people and get hair done and colored like one of the girls,” said Hazan

Hazan has worked on the tresses of the rich a famous, like Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson. But even star power won’t erase the maintenance that comes with hair coloring. Hair grows fast and ugly roots come in.
