LeBron Apologizes For Saying Retarded

BOSTON (CBSMiami.com) – LeBron James has issued an apology after he said a reporter's question of Dwyane Wade after Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals was "retarded."

James had his hand covering his mouth when he made the comment. The question surrounded whether Wade thought that the play that dislocated Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo's elbow.

James made the apology at the beginning of his postgame comments following the Miami Heat's overtime victory over the Celtics. James apologized for using "the R-word."
