UM Center Returns To School

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami.com) – The University of Miami men's basketball team got a BIG shot in the arm over the weekend when 6'10", 300 lb center Reggie Johnson opted to return to school instead of taking his chances in the NBA Draft.

"We're very happy that Reggie has decided to return to our program at Miami," head coach Jim Larranga said.

Johnson averaged 12 points and 9.6 rebounds per game in the ACC and shot 59 percent from the field. He started all 34 games last season and put up a 14 point, 20 rebound performance in the NIT's first round game against Florida Atlantic.

The Hurricanes will return all but one player from last year's team. It's also set to add 6'11" redshirt sophomore Kenny Kadji among others to the lineup.
