Ready, Set, Go For Wedding Dresses At Running Of The Brides

AVENTURA (CBS4)- The hunt was on for the perfect wedding gown as hundreds of women attended Filene's Basement's "Running of the Brides" sale in Aventura Friday morning.

Hundreds of women lined up at the doors at 8 a.m. then took off running in a hunt for the wedding dress of their dreams, or at least something close to it, at bargain prices.

The sales are said to be so good during the event many women often camp out overnight just to be the first in line.  Officials said $9,000 dollar dress can go for as little as $250.

At the one hour event, he women searched through more than 1,300 gowns from sizes 2 through 26.
