Orange Bowl Tickets Now On Sale

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) - While professional football remains on the back burner, college football fans looking to solidify their New Year's plans can now buy their tickets for next year's Discover Orange Bowl.

Tickets were put on sale for the general public Thursday afternoon. The game will be played at Sun Life Stadium on January 3rd or 4th.

The 2012 Orange Bowl will have the ACC Champion, if it doesn't qualify for the BCS National Championship game, versus a BCS At-Large team. Tickets start at $75 for the game.

Last year's game saw the Stanford Cardinal thump the Virginia Tech Hokies, 40-12.

In addition to the football game, tickets also went on sale Thursday for the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic. It will be held December 17, 2011 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.
