MIAMI (CBS4) – A Little Havana man was taken into custody after he reportedly shot and killed his elderly woman outside an apartment building.

Witnesses said they saw the man drag the woman into an alley behind the building, located in the 500 block of SW 14th Avenue. One ran for help when a shot rang out.

Arriving officers heard the gunshot, saw a gun wielding man and a wounded woman simultaneously fall to the ground. The armed man dropped the gun when officers commanded him to do so and was taken into custody. The woman, identified as 81-year old Barbara Clara Ramos, was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where she died.

Police have identified the suspected shooter as Ramos’ husband, 80-year old Abel Palomino.

They have not said what charges he will face.

    Just another case of that Cuban Macho attitude in Hialeah.

      This happened in Little Havana Bro…

      • Chet

        SAME DIFFERENCE !!!

  • Howard Camner

    They’re not sure what charges he will face? May I suggest “murder”? I don’t have time to do the thinking for many of the people in Miami, but apparently someone has to pick up the slack, and there’s lots of it.

    • GAIN AND AGAIN

      Hialeah = Miami = Miami-Dade…

      All is the same.

      KILL PALOMINO for being a FIRST-DEGREE/Pre-Meditated MURDERER.

      FRY HIM

    Wow. People get murdered everywhere so please, let stop exaggerating. Another thing, not everyone in miami is cuban. By the way, Miami-Dade is HUGE. Hialeah is no where near where this happened. Little Havana is one area and Hialeah is another, get it right. So i can only guess that everyone here is stuck up trash from Coconut Grove (Miami-Dade)? Or some other not-worth-the-high-price place in Miami? Get over yourselves and pull the stick out your as*es. Murder is nothing new and not limited to Miami.

    Ah yes ANOTHER daily shooting (sometimes more) in the GUNshine state.
