Lauderhill Woman Taken From Bus Stop, Sexually Assaulted

LAUDERHILL (CBS4) - A Lauderhill woman was sexually assaulted early Monday morning after she was forcibly taken from a bus stop.

According to Lauderhill Police, just after 6 a.m. the 21-year old woman was walking to the bus stop when she was approached by a man driving a late model dark blue Chevy Impala in the 25-hundred block of NW 56th Avenue.

She would later tell police the man asked her for directions. She said she couldn't answer his question and then set off again for the bus stop about four blocks away.

When she got there, the woman said the man was waiting for her.

"He walked up to her, put the taser to her side and told her to get into his car," said Lauderhill Police Detective Kim Vincent. "She was in such fear for her life, she felt she had to get into his car."

She told police he drove to a nearby parking lot where she said he forced her to perform oral sex on him.

"It scares me a lot," said Tiakela Gore who lives nearby. "It's crazy that it can happen on the right side of the road with so many cars passing by."

The man then let her go and drove off.

"We just have to be vigilant about our surroundings.  We just have to be careful, be on the look out, be very aware of people coming into your personal space," said Kareen Reeves who lives in the area.

The victim told police her attacker was driving a dark blue, late model Chevy Impala. If you have information about the crime, call Lauderhill Police at 954-497-4700 or Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS(8477).
