FHP Charge Worker For Stealing From Turnpike

POMPANO BEACH (CBS3)- A woman working at a Florida Turnpike facility was arrested and is facing grand theft charges, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

According to the FHP, Ida Marie Klohr, 30, stole over $89,000 over a five month period from the Florida Turnpike Services' Pompano Beach Service Plaza.

Klohr, of Pompano Beach, was a contracted employee at the Shell service center. The FHP said she altered Florida Turnpike Services paperwork, creating an overage of cash.  She then used the money for personal use.

FHP said the theft occurred between July 2010 and December 2010.

Klohr was arrested on April 13, 2011 after a warrant was issued on April 4 for her arrest. She bonded out of jail a day after she was arrested, according to BSO.
