Sketch Released In Attempted Abduction Of Pines Teen

PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) - Pembroke Pines Police have released a sketch asking for the public's help in finding a man they say attempted to abduct at 16 year old girl as she waited at the bus stop.

Police say the man drove by the corner of 82nd Avenue and Florida Drive Monday afternoon and asked the teenage girl standing at the bus stop if she wanted a ride.

When the girl told the man "no", he left the bus stop, but continued to circle the area.

Roughly 20 minutes later, the teen told police that she felt a presence behind her.

When she turned around, the suspect she saw in the car was now standing about a foot behind her.

Police say the man then grabbed the girl's wrist, saying "Come get in the car".

Again, the girl told police that she refused.

As the man attempted to pull her away, his fingers got caught in a rubber bracelet the teen was wearing.

Because the suspect's hand was caught, the girl was able to free herself from his grasp.

The suspect then fled the area, running southbound away from the corner.

Police are asking for help indentifying the suspect, who was driving a newer body style White Ford Mustang with light to medium tinted windows.
