Nike Unveils The "Fly Wade" Shoe
MIAMI (CBS4) - Dwyane Wade has served as the face of the Air Jordan game-shoe for the past two seasons. Now, Nike has finally revealed his first signature shoe as a part of Nike's Air Jordan brand.
The shoe is named the "Jordan Fly Wade," and Nike said it's the first of D-Wade's Jordan signature shoes and many more are in the works.
Nike said the "Fly Wade" is the "lightest basketball shoe that Jordan has ever produced. The "Fly Wade" weighs in at just 13 ounces. Nike said it achieved the weight by using "lightweight materials and efficient construction."
The shoe has Wade's "D3" logo on the tongue of the shoe and will come in multiple colors including: green and blue, white and black, and black and red-dark grey.
If you want to further customize the shoe, NikeiD customization will be made available for the "Fly Wade" in June, according to Nike.
The shoe maker said that Wade will be wearing the "Fly Wade" during the Heat's playoff run.
The shoe will be available to the public on May 5 and will set you back a cool $140.
