Lawrence Taylor Sentenced To Probation
NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBS4) - The one-time crown jewel of Bill Parcells players, Lawrence Taylor, was sentenced to six months probation, but a hearing to determine what level of sex offender Taylor will be given was delayed until April 12. The sentence comes for patronizing an under-aged prostitute.
Taylor, who spends part of the year in South Florida, pleaded guilty in January to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute. Under a plea deal with the state, Taylor, 52, isn't expected to serve any jail time.
The 16-year-old prostitute is being represented by California lawyer Gloria Allred. Allred has declined to say whether she will be filing a lawsuit against Taylor.
Taylor will likely be sentenced to six years probation and have to register as a sex offender. His sex offender status will be labeled as Level 1, 2, or 3 for low, medium, or high-risk sex offenders.
