Spas Offer Treatments At Half The Price
MIAMI BEACH - (CBS4) - It's called the "Muscle Melt" and it's one of the many spa treatments being offered at one of many South Florida spas participating in Wellness Week.
The "Muscle Melt" being offered at Canyon Ranch Spa on Miami Beach is an 80-minute massage, which uses techniques deriving from Thailand. Lemon grass and oil is applied to a customer's body while warm herbal pouches are pressed, deep into the muscle to relieve tension.
Normally, the treatment costs $250, but thanks to Wellness Week, spa goers can indulge at half the price.
"Spa finder wellness is a nationwide promotion where participating spas around the country are offering wellness services for $50 or 50 off retail value" says Charlotte Prescott, director of Spa Services.
More than two dozen spas in Miami-Dade and Broward county are participating in Wellness Week. The flat rates are offered on a range of services in different spas from massages to wraps to nutritional counseling and more. At the Canyon Ranch, for example, they are also offering a vitamin facial, salon treatments and an acupuncture session.
"There's a multitude of reasons why people use acupuncture -- it could be for stress- or for those suffering with headaches or migraines - also muscle tension or more internal issues" Prescott said.
It's a good idea to sign up quickly as services often get booked fast. Wellness Week may be the best time to pamper yourself without stressing about the cost.
