Banner Plane Crashes In Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) – A plane toting a banner crashed Saturday as it took off from the North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines.

Only the pilot was on board the plane and was not injured, but the plane was damaged said Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue spokesman Tom Gallagher.

FAA spokeswoman Holly Baker said the N9692D Super Cub lost power on takeoff, causing the crash.

The FAA is investigating the cause.
