President Obama To Speak At Miami Dade College Graduation

MIAMI (CBS4) - More than three thousand students graduating this Spring from Miami Dade College will get a very special send off from the nation's Commander in Chief.

President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at the James L. Knight Center to the graduating class on April 29th.

"We are extremely pleased to have President Obama address our graduates as he has made college access and completion a central focus of his administration," said Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón, MDC's president, in a written statement.

President Obama will be the third U.S. President in four years to speak at a Miami Dade College Commencement. Former President George W. Bush spoke at the school's commencement in 2007 and former President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker in 2010.
